We ask real questions
Before a dentist messages you, they’ve read everything—your fears, your history, and exactly what you need to make this visit different.
You’re not picking blind; you’re being chosen by someone who already understands your situation.
The usual way
Selecting by location (and hoping for the best)
Trusting a 5-star rating
Booking – only to realize they aren’t a fit
Wasting a co-pay and time on the wrong office
Here's how it works
MatchMyDentist is the first dental matching service where patients and dentists choose each other — before the first visit.
✓ Dentists in our network support PPO insurance, private-pay, or no insurance.
✗ HMO, Medicaid, and other government-sponsored plans are not compatible with this service.
Tell us everything
Answer a few simple questions — your insurance, your fears, your schedule, how long it's been, and what you need. All anonymous. No name, no phone number, no awkward call. Takes about 10 minutes.
The right dentist reaches out
A real dentist reviews everything you shared. If they know they can help, they message you to explain why they are a great fit for your specific situation. Most patients hear back within 24 hours.
You're in control
You’re not committed to anything yet. Review the dentist's profile, and message. If they feel right, accept the match and book your visit. Not a fit? No problem—We’ll match you with another dentist. Your identity remains private until you choose to share it.

Sound familiar?
Money is a real concern
The fear isn't just the bill—it’s being pressured into treatment in the chair. Share your situation: insurance, payment plans, or treatment in stages. Any dentist who reaches out to you already knows cost is part of the conversation.
Dental Anxiety / Phobia
You’ve canceled before. The sounds, the needles, the not knowing... it's too much. You need someone who truly gets it. No rushing, no judgment, just care at your own pace.
Embarrassed of My Teeth
You dread being judged or feeling like your mouth is "the worst they’ve seen." You need a professional who won't make you feel guilty for where things are today. You need someone who just helps.
Treatment Overload
You’ve been told you need a lot of work and it feels unmanageable. You need someone who will help you prioritize what actually matters, not someone who pushes everything at once.
Our dentists are different
They aren’t the usual dentists.
They read your story — your concerns, your “I hate needles.”
If they message you, it’s because they chose to help — not because you happened to walk through their door.
They fit your situation as much as you fit their practice.
So when you finally walk in, it doesn’t feel like starting over.
It feels like they already know you.
In their own words
A Navy veteran with dental anxiety struggled to trust a new dentist after military dental care left him traumatized.
I hadn’t been in 8 years. I was terrified. I told them about my fear of needles and my situation. One dentist read my profile and said, ‘I can help. We’ll go at your pace.
I cried. No one has ever said that to me before.

I’m on a fixed income and I don’t have time for the runaround. Usually, you go in for a ‘free’ exam and walk out overwhelmed. My dentist sent a message after seeing my profile and said he could work with me. I had my appointment and will confidently say that he is a man who kept his word.

Things people often ask
Will I always get matched, and how long does it take?
Our mission is compatibility, not volume. We only connect you with a dentist who is 100% confident they can handle your specific situation.
Because we give dentists time to read your full story and ensure they are a genuine fit, most matches arrive within 24 hours. Simple cases often land same-day, while complex cases may take up to 48 hours.
We don’t force matches; we wait until we find the right partner for you. You deserve a dentist who is a genuine fit, not just the first one available.
I already have PPO insurance — why would I use this?
Your PPO gives you a list of dentists. We give you the right one — who accepts your insurance, already knows your fears, your schedule, your situation before you ever speak.
Your coverage doesn’t change. Your benefits don’t change. You just skip the part where you call around, explain yourself, and hope for the best.
After your match — go to your appointment and use your PPO exactly like normal.
Do you accept HMO or Medicaid insurance?
Not at this time. Those plans assign you to a specific provider. Our platform is built on mutual choice—where you and the dentist choose each other. Our model doesn’t work within the restrictions of assigned-care plans.
What if I just need a cleaning?
MatchMyDentist is built for patients who have more than just a routine cleaning on their mind. While our dentists certainly handle cleanings, this platform is specifically for those who need a partner to navigate anxiety, complex treatment plans, or specific concerns.
If you have a story to share — even a small one — you’re in the right place. If you have absolutely no concerns and simply want a quick routine clean, booking directly with a local provider may be the fastest path.
Why can’t I just choose a dentist from a list?
Because lists don’t know you. You can find a dentist on Google in two seconds, but you can’t find out if they handle dental phobia, take your insurance, address your main issue only – until you call five offices. We do the vetting so you don’t have to.
